MARMORINO CARRARA

Carrara marble effect Venetian plaster

MARMORINO CARRARA is a mineral wall coating made of high-quality slaked lime for indoor and outdoor use. When applied, it creates a unique wall finish similar to traditional Italian travertine marble. The result is always different, as it is characterized by light and color effects that depend on the skill and technique of the applicator.

❌ Not recommended:

On old synthetic paints (washable quartz emulsion paints and plastic wall coatings)

On exterior concrete surfaces (due to high permeability, the product does not protect against carbon dioxide)

Important!

⚠️ MARMORINO CARRARA is a mineral plaster intended for application on a properly prepared substrate.

⚠️ Before application, ensure the surface is dry, clean, degreased, and mechanically stable.

⚠️ Not recommended for application on old synthetic paints or plastic coatings.

⚠️ The product contains slaked lime – alkaline product. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

⚠️ Always test the material on a small, inconspicuous area before use.

⚠️ Protect from frost. Avoid application at temperatures below +5°C.

 

APPLICATION

1. Surface preparation (indoor):

  • Ensure the substrate has a maturation time of at least 28 days
  • The surface must be smooth – if necessary, level it
  • In case of mold, treat with professional anti-mold treatment
  • Remove old peeling paint layers
  • Fill cracks with putty
  • Remove dust

2. Priming:

  • Apply 1-2 coats of deep penetration primer concentrate (diluted 1:8 with water)
  • Drying between coats: 2 hours
  • Complete drying: 4-6 hours
  • Apply 1 coat of special primer for mineral plasters (PRIMER Q)
  • Wait 6-8 hours before applying MARMORINO CARRARA

3. MARMORINO CARRARA application:

1st coat:

  • Apply with a special stainless steel trowel
  • Layer thickness slightly larger than the material grain size
  • Immediately create "waves" (joint boundaries) that will later reflect as marble veins
  • Drying time: 8-12 hours

2nd coat (Classic Carrara marble effect):

  • Apply at minimum thickness
  • When the surface begins to dry (after 5-15 minutes), start compacting the surface with a Venetian trowel, pressing and smoothing
  • This technique creates a smooth, even surface with a light satin effect

Polished effect (optional):

  • For a glossy marble effect, repeat the compaction after 5-10 minutes
  • The surface will begin to polish to a gloss, texture and color become deeper

4. Protection (recommended):

  • Recommended to protect with VARNISH, Pearl topcoat, Velatura, or natural wax

5. Drying:

  • Complete

⚠️ Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye damage.

⚠️ Alkaline product – avoid contact with skin and eyes

⚠️ Wear protective gloves and eye/face protection

⚠️ IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water and soap

⚠️ IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses.

⚠️ Keep out of reach of children

  • ⚠️ Do not pour remainings down the draindrying: 7-12 days
