1.Substrate Preparation

Before applying PRIMER Q, ensure the substrate is stable, dry, and clean:

• Substrate moisture must not exceed 4% for mineral surfaces, 0.5% for gypsum surfaces
• Substrate temperature must not be below +10°C
• Clean the surface of dust, grease, oil, and other dirt
• Remove heavily chalked substrates mechanically
• Sand putty with fine emery cloth and remove dust with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner
• Clean areas affected by mold fungi thoroughly, treat with a mold exterminator according to the manufacturer's instructions and dry thoroughly
• Prime the substrate with a deep penetrating primer according to instructions
• Re-prime crumbling and heavily absorbent areas until the crumbling effect is eliminated
• Paint or enamel coated surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper, then washed with a detergent and rinsed off with clean water

Important! Do not apply on oil and glue putties or substrates previously treated with olive oil.

2. PRIMER Q Application

Mixing:

• Stir thoroughly before use

1st coat:

• Apply with a roller (do not brush), or alternatively with a brush or sprayer
• Work in different directions until a perfectly smooth texture is obtained
• Apply in one even coat
• Coverage: 8-10 m²/l per coat (depending on substrate absorbency, color, and application method)
• Drying time: 1 hour (+20°C, 60% relative humidity)

2nd coat (if necessary):

• After the first coat has completely dried, apply a second coat if needed
• Use the same application technique
• Interval between coats: 4 hours

Thinning:

• Not needed, if necessary dilute with clean water

3. Tool Cleaning

• Clean tools with soap and water immediately after use
• Hardened material is difficult to remove

4. Important Notes

⚠️ PRIMER Q is a primer coat for microcement and decorative plaster systems. It provides the necessary adhesion and uniform base for subsequent layers.

⚠️ PRIMER Q must always be applied before decorative coatings (BASE MICROCEMENT, TRAVERTINO, MARMORINO CARRARA, STONVEIL, or other plasters).

⚠️ Before applying PRIMER Q, make sure the surface is dry, clean, degreased, and mechanically stable.

⚠️ Ensure adequate ventilation during application.

⚠️ Avoid application at temperatures below +5°C or above +30°C.

⚠️ Protect from frost and direct sunlight during storage.

⚠️ Store at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C in a tightly sealed, frost-free place. Shelf life: 2 years from date of manufacture in unopened original packaging.

⚠️ Do not pour remainings down the drain. Dispose of at waste collection center. Keep out of reach of children.
