FINISH MICROCEMENT

Fine-grained microcement finishing layer for concrete imitation

FINISH MICROCEMENT is the finishing layer of a professional microcement system, designed to create a smooth, minimalist, and pleasant-to-touch concrete-like surface. Thanks to its ultra-fine particle structure (max. 0.2 mm), it achieves a perfectly smooth, industrial concrete look on floors, walls, and furniture.

Create a health-friendly home with a 100% environmentally friendly microcement finish coating. Free from harmful emissions, with a natural composition, high elasticity, and fine-grained structure – ideally suited for use in bathrooms and kitchens. Tintable in a wide range of colors, including RAL, NCS, and Majestic40 shades.

The product is water-based, ready-to-use, and has low odor during application and drying. Manufactured in Latvia, it meets the highest European Union standards and guarantees excellent indoor air quality (A+).

System Components

To achieve a professional and durable result, FINISH MICROCEMENT must be used together with other microcement system products:

PRIMER Q
Ready-to-use base coat primer with excellent whiteness and coverage. Suitable for all absorbent surfaces. Tintable.

BASE MICROCEMENT
Ready-to-use base coating with a fine, marble-like texture (0.5 mm grain). Serves as a textured foundation for FINISH MICROCEMENT application. Can also be used as a finishing layer to achieve a slightly rougher surface. Tintable.

PU 2K VARNISH
Two-component, water-based polyurethane varnish with a satin matte finish. Non-slip, UV resistant, vapor permeable. Provides durability and water resistance. Apply in 3 coats.

Wooden parquet

Linoleum

Glass and glass-cement surfaces

Mosaic surfaces (marble, granite, glass)

Damp surfaces or surfaces with rising moisture

Important!

⚠️ FINISH MICROCEMENT is the finishing coat of the microcement system. It may ONLY be applied over the BASE MICROCEMENT base coat.

⚠️ To ensure durability and water resistance, it MUST be sealed with 3 coats of PU 2K VARNISH protective varnish after application.

⚠️ Without the protective varnish, the coating is not sufficiently durable for use.

⚠️ Full technical properties are achieved 7 days after the final varnish coat has dried.

APPLICATION

1. Substrate Preparation

Before applying FINISH MICROCEMENT, ensure the substrate is stable, dry, and clean:

Substrate moisture must not exceed 5% (check with a hygrometer)
Substrate temperature must not be below +10°C
Clean the surface of dust, grease, oil, and other dirt

Important! FINISH MICROCEMENT may ONLY be applied over the BASE MICROCEMENT base coat. It is not permitted to apply directly to primer or other surfaces.

2. FINISH MICROCEMENT Application

1st coat:

Use a stainless steel Venetian trowel
Hold the trowel almost flat against the surface
Apply a thin, even coat of FINISH MICROCEMENT
Coverage: 0.9-1.1 kg/m² per coat
Drying time: 24 hours (+20°C, 60% humidity)

Sanding:

After the first coat has dried, sand with an orbital sander
Recommended grit: 240-320 (for a finer finish – 320)
Remove dust thoroughly

2nd coat:

Apply the second coat of FINISH MICROCEMENT using the same technique
You can create a smooth surface or create texture with semi-circular movements
Drying time: 24 hours

Sanding:

After the second coat has dried, repeat sanding (grit 320)
Remove dust

3. PU 2K VARNISH Application (Protective Varnish) — MANDATORY

To ensure durability and water resistance, FINISH MICROCEMENT MUST be sealed with 3 coats of PU 2K VARNISH protective varnish.

Preparation:

Two-component varnish: Component A : Component B = 100 : 10
Example: 1 kg Component A + 100-110 g Component B
Mixing: at least 3 minutes with a low-speed mixer (300-400 rpm)
Pot life after mixing: 2 hours

Application:

Apply with a 25-50 cm roller
Work "wet-on-wet"
Coverage: 80-100 g/m² per coat
Apply 3 coats
Change rollers every 30 minutes

Drying:

Between coats: according to the manufacturer's instructions
Full mechanical and chemical resistance: 7 days after the final varnish coat

4. Tool Cleaning

Clean tools with water immediately after use
Hardened material is difficult to remove

5. Important Notes
